Primary Schools

We care! It’s time to chat to protect, prevent and EMPOWER!

Our workshops aim to ensure that children leave with a positive understanding of their bodies and the confidence to engage in open conversations with parents and caregivers.

We emphasise the importance of collaboration between parents, educators and children to:

  • Bust myths and build body literacy particularly around puberty changes.
  • Equip children with tools to understand consent and their body’s unique signals, emotions and needs.
  • Empower them to set boundaries, respect others and seek support from trusted adults.

Ultimately, we strive to provide children with a toolkit that fosters safety, self-respect and empowerment in managing their bodies and interactions with others.

We’d love to partner with your school to support your sexuality, relationships and wellbeing education. We offer a range of curriculum based and evidence informed workshops/presentations to students, parents and teachers.

We appreciate that each school’s journey with this area of the curriculum may differ, and we aim to meet the specific needs of the students with whom we engage. All our presenters have a wealth of experience, ready to engage and present the information and activities in a sensitive and age-appropriate manner.

We also offer a range of workshops and resources for teachers that support your schools’ goals and learning needs in this area. Contact us to discuss how we can assist.

FAQs

In the Primary School space we highly recommend working with individual classes in the classroom with the teacher present. This accommodates student comfort levels and ensures the teacher is part of the process to navigate ongoing discussions.

In the High School space we are flexible to work with larger groups with the understanding that the ability for interaction and engagement may be compromised. It is always preferable to split large groups into multiple timeslots for best outcomes.

We value parents and caregivers as the primary educators in this area. Equally it’s important to prioritise children having access to important age-appropriate information about their bodies. For that reason, the Australian Curriculum has integrated important sexuality and relationships information into the Health and Physical Education learning space. If this is a topic a parent/school group require further support and information with we are available to offer parent information evenings covering tips on navigating this space and outlining content that will be covered during our visit.

Our workshops aim to ensure that children leave with a positive understanding of their bodies and the confidence to engage in open conversations with parents and caregivers.
