Parent and Caregiver Presentations

We care! It’s time to chat to protect, prevent and EMPOWER!

We aim to equip parents and educators with tools to navigate positive and empowering discussions about all things to do with growing up.

More than anything, children and young people need cheerleaders and adults they love and respect to guide them through their puberty journey.

Talking with children about their changing body doesn’t need to be awkward. That’s why we’ve put together a variety of presentations and workshops aimed at supporting parents and families to increase confidence and connections to chat about growing and developing bodies.

FAQs

In the Primary School space we highly recommend working with individual classes in their classroom with their teacher present. This accommodates student comfort levels and ensures the teacher is part of process to navigate ongoing discussions.

In the High School space we are flexible to work with larger groups with the understanding that the ability for interaction and engagement may be compromised. It is always preferable to split large groups into multiple timeslots for best outcomes.

We value parents and caregivers as the primary educators in this area. Equally it’s important to prioritise children having access to important age-appropriate information about their bodies. For that reason, the Australian Curriculum has integrated important sexuality and relationships information into the Health and Physical Education learning space. If this is a topic a parent/school group require further support and information with we are available to offer parent information evenings covering tips on navigating this space and outlining content that will be covered during our visit.
